His approach is refreshing and easy to follow

I have bought all of Mantius's books on learning the piano and endorse each and every one. His approach is refreshing and easy to follow. He quickly becomes your virtual instructor and friend making the process of playing a piano or in my case a keyboard both fun and amazingly fast. As a new but senior student I was looking for a method that would achieve results rather painlessly after all I am no longer a twelve year old with a lifetime available for piano lessons. Also I live away from major metro centers so finding innovative instructors is more than challenging. Mantius is both supportive and clear with his lessons and you soon find yourself progressing before you know it. I absolutely endorse this book and the author. Keep in mind that he is a real playing musician so his insight is to be respected. All in all a great way to learn to play the piano.

If you ever want to learn to play the piano I urge you to get this ebook.. It's a good investment and I can't believe the price!!..
At first glance going through the first ten pages including the intro, it was an easy read.the ideas are flowing and keeps me wanting to quickly get to the next page .

Perfect for that long commute.

I've been looking for a guide to give me a running start with reading Korean as I will be visiting Korea as part of my Asian Honeymoon Adventure. By far, this is the best guide I've come across for learning to read Korean. Would recommend it to anyone.

Cute introduction to Hangeul

THE GOODIES
+ The book is very cute, very simple and the associations to learn each vowel and consonant very useful.
+ The book is unpretentious, fun and right to the point.
+ The book does what it promises and you will be able to read basic words in Korean if not in 60 minutes, in 90, which is what it too me.
+ Very useful illustrations.
+ A cheapie.

THE NONOS
+ The use of Roman equivalents is a bit messed up mostly because the authors don't do something that would have been more helpful, ie to use the International Phonetic System, which is Universal. Mind you, not all English speakers pronounce vowels and diphthongs the same. I found the equivalents in Roman a bit unclear.
+ I had some problems with the S and the J basically because the seashell used to associate the letter s with looked more like the shape of the character for the letter j.
+ I found that some of the diphthongs were not well explained, comparing to online free courses.
+ This is a bait to get you to their online paid program to learn Korean.

I MISSED
I would have loved hearing the pronunciation of the words in Korean mentioned in the book. Which would be really easy to do if the Kindle book had a link that got you online when you can do that.

Overall, a very cute useful book, that does what it promises, get you to recognise the Hangeul alphabet and to read basic words. There are basic courses online, for free, with videos, done by Koreans, so that is always better. However, I found the association technique really helpful and that is the main virtue of this booklet.

I'm glad I found this. I wasn't sure I'd be able to learn Korean, but this book definitely laid the groundwork and gave me confidence to recognize the alphabet and continue to learn. Definitely worth it.

Reader beware

This story started out okay, a cute light "clean romance" from the "clean romance" section on Kindle books. If that is what you are looking for, STOP READING after the wedding. The next chapter starts with an incredibly graphic love scene that goes on for pages. Even if they are married I don't want to read about it in the "clean romance" section. I'm sorry to say, but after that scene the book was just dumb! The story line goes to pieces and was just a waste of time. I kept reading hoping it would redeem itself, but it never did. Whoever chooses what category this book is in, PLEASE take it out of the clean section so other unsuspecting readers won't be caught of guard like I was. This book will be removed permanently from my amazon account.

Sally Larson finally gets her story...

Rick Johnson wants to court Ethel Mae Jordan. Ethel Mae Jordan does not want to be courted by Rick Johnson so she has her friend, Sally Larson, over when Rick comes calling in hopes that she will want him. Sally immediately sees that she would love to be courted and even marry the handsome Judge Johnson...only if he could see her past Ethel Mae. But Sally's a clever girl and sets out to win her man...Her Heart's Desire.

After reading the previous books in this series and have this book come out as the first one, had me wondering how it would be. It was great. Starting in the past while knowing what the future held for these characters was quite enjoyable. A seventeen-year-old Tom, fourteen-year-old Dave, twelve-year-old Jenny and a nine-year-old Joel...who was the naughty and mischievous youngster we first met in A Bride For Tom. We finally get a good look at Richard and Amanda as well. Vivian Jordan, who not only ended up playing a part in Sally's plan but the poor ten year old had to constantly dodge Hugh, the neighbor boy. If you have not had the opportunity to read any of this series yet...here's where you start. If you go to Ruth's website you will find the order of her books and where to get them as well. A Bride for Tom and A Husband for Margaret are the next two books and they are both free. You will find she writes with humor, romance and lots of good food and family.

Romance With a Nice Family Dynamic

This was a very enjoyable read EXCEPT for a couple of graphic sex scenes. Granted, they were between husband and wife, and I'm not a prude--I think the physical act of love in the intimacy of a marriage is a beautiful thing--but neither am I a voyer, wishing to see others perform sexual acts before me. Writers of these long descriptive sex scenes see them as only harmless words, not pornographic images. They forget that the written word is more powerful than a movie depiction. If these same scenes were shown in a movie, exactly as described in this book, that movie would be rated NC-17 and most decent people would avoid seeing it. If you've ever gone to see a favorite book made into a movie you know how disappointing it can be as no director can depict in 2 dimensions what our imagination can produce. Our minds make far more vivid accounts as we read words. That's why a sweet love story like this one is soured by the descriptiveness of these long sex scenes. A good writer can give us the impression of the love and intimacy of a young married couple delighting in each other's bodies without these lewd scenes. Now that my rant is finished, the story was beautiful and nicely told with the exception I've already made.

Inititation into modern use.

Awsome book with some very profound insights. One will learn about basic steps in spell casting and secrets about cord's uses in magic. How to choose right cord, colors, right use of moon phases, invocations of Goddess...and several fine spells. Yes, all these is very practical (yes, new cord is needed for spells!), but believe it or not there is one older title which has even more practical techniques with cord magic and that is: Earth Power by Scott Cunningham. So I recommend both titles!

It was easy to read and understand. I like the lightness in how it was written. A good goto book when you need something right away. It is not frilly and filled with fluff, that's what I like the most.
